Steps to get started with "OCN Kousoku Mobile EM (2dankai Plan)"

STEP 1: Sign up online at the OCN website or by an application form.

STEP 2: Authentication ID, Password and APN (Access Point Name) will be issued by email or post from OCN in approximately 4 days after signing up. Check and keep them at hand.

STEP 3: A data device will be delivered from eAccess Ltd. in approximately 1 week*1 after signing up. Billing will start after the month you receive the device.

STEP 4

See "Setup Manual" and "Setup Information" enclosed with the data device.
Enter the following lines in the ID, Password, APN (Access Point Name) fields:

Important Notes on Coverage Area

Service may not be available in all areas, and even within the coverage area, e.g. indoor and underground locations, inside tunnels behind buildings, between mountains or at sea. Be sure to establish the connections under good signal conditions.
The initial fee, data device charge and monthly charge will apply even if the service is not available within the coverage area due to weak signals.
Termination fee will also apply in case of cancellation due to such event(s).

Download speeds up to 42Mbps (21Mbps in some areas) are available in some major cities in Kantou, Toukai, Kansai, Hokkaido and Kyushu (as of December 2010. the area scheduled to be gradually expanded). In other coverage areas where the maximum download speed of 42Mbps is not offered, download speeds up to 7.2 or 3.6Mbps are available.
Upload speeds up to 5.8Mbps are available in select metropolitan areas. In other coverage areas where the maximum upload speed of 5.8Mbps is not offered, upload speeds up to 1.4Mbps(2.0Mbps in some areas) or 384kbps are available.
(For customers using other devices than GD01 or GP02)
Download speeds up to 7.2Mbps are available in select metropolitan areas where maximum download speed of 3.6Mbps is offered. Upload speeds up to 5.8Mbps/1.4Mbps are available in select metropolitan areas where maximum upload speed of 384kbps is offered.
Actual speeds may be slower and affected by the type of device you use, network conditions and traffic. These maximum speeds based on the technical specification of the subscribed lines, are not guaranteed as the actual data rates.
Coverage area expansion plans may vary.

International Roaming provided by EMOBILE is NOT available.

Data Device

Requires a purchase of data device provided by OCN per subscription. Note: Once cancelled, you will have to purchase a new data device upon signing up for a new subscription. (Service is NOT available with a data device rented from OCN or purchased from other than OCN.)

The data device utility software supports Japanese OS only. OCN does not guarantee the proper performance on other operating systems.
